Designed for FPV, park-flyer, and compact RC packs. The XS provides a dedicated place to charge up to 50 Wh of batteries without taking over the workbench. Its compact size also makes it easy to move between charging locations or take along to the field. The double-walled steel enclosure and filtered lid help contain a battery fire and manage the exhaust if a pack fails.

Place the batteries inside, and run the charging and balance leads through the fire-collar opening. The lid closes fully, with no cables pinched under the seal.
LiPo bags, adapted ammo cans, and improvised setups are common for small packs, but each leaves part of the charging process unresolved. The XS brings the enclosure, exhaust filtration, and charger setup together in one compact unit. Because it can stay on the bench and be used for every charge, it’s a practical one-time purchase against the much larger costs of property damage, disruption, and an insurance claim.

During one customer’s first charge of a new 3S 600mAh pack, the battery went into thermal runaway. A BAT-SAFE contained the fire, prevented the second pack beside it from igniting, and kept the incident from spreading through the home.

Stay within the 50 Wh limit
Capacity is based on the combined watt-hours inside, not the number of packs. One 3S 2200mAh battery is approximately 24.4 Wh; two total 48.8 Wh.
Other combinations are fine at or below 50 Wh, provided they fit with open space around them. If the batteries are close to either limit, move up to BAT-SAFE M.
The XS is the right size if:
Combined capacity does not exceed 50 Wh
Your batteries fit within the 165 x 100 x 50 mm / 6.5 x 3.9 x 2.0 in charging space
There’s room around the batteries for cell expansion
Check both dimensions and watt-hours. The XS typically holds up to two 3S 2200mAh packs; larger batteries or setups above 50 Wh require a larger model.
